Here's a classic example. A photograph published by the AP and taken by Adel Hana, supposedly of a Gaza building hit by an IDF air strike. Is is legit? Photoshopped?
You can find the story here on the website of the Canadian Broadcasting Company. But in case it disappears, as these things often do, I've pasted it in below.

Captions reads: "An explosion after an Israeli strike in Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip on Saturday [3 January 2009], as seen from Gaza City. (Adel Hana/Associated Press)"
Several astute observers on the website Snapshot have noted that the blast fragments in the air are far too large, which suggest the explosion itself has been greatly and artificially enlarged. But the most telltale evidence are the hills and the mountains in the background. In Gaza? The highest point in the Gaza strip is Abu'Awdah, which is a towering 105 meters! The elevation around Beit Lahiya averages 30 meters above sea level!
